My industry experience as a
manufacturer, vendor, and retail designer
allowed me to experience all sides of the
textile & soft goods industry.

Print Designer, Target Corporation
2007-2011

As a Print Designer at Target, my focus was to work cross-collaboratively to improve soft product sampling to help meet Target’s internal quality standards for production. My primary responsibilities included:

  • creating and preparing manufacture-ready files for both all-over & engineered textile prints, including screen separations for vendor use on complex & tonal print files

  • reviewing & commenting on development submissions

  • owning vendor print capabilities to make educated recommendations to sourcing partners for strategic business placement

  • traveling annually to Asia to strengthen vendor relationships, work through print related manufacturing issues & reduce number of sample rounds.

My last six months at Target were spent on the Trend Team where I developed seasonal color & pattern collections for Domestics including bedding, decorative home, stationary, patio, window & bath products.

Textile & Soft Goods Designer, Kidsline LLC
2006-2007

While I was a Textile & Soft Product Designer at KidsLine Inc., I designed bedding & room décor for nursery ensembles, including quilts, sheets, blankets, bumpers, dust ruffles, rugs, wall art and other accessories. Additionally, I also:

  • created original textile prints, graphics, appliqués, and embroideries to complete collections

  • managed and created all product designs with licensed artwork for companies such as Disney and Carter’s

  • traveled domestically to meet with customers to develop custom collections

  • attended domestic trade shows to gather competitive research and new market innovations

Print Designer, Malden Mills
2004-2006

At Malden Mills (now Polartec LLC), my Print Designer responsibilities included:

  • Producing surface designs as well as jacquard knit designs for a variety of technical applications & bases, for both openline and custom developments

  • traveling globally to work directly with customers for custom project development

  • researching color, print, and fabric trends both domestically & internationally

  • designing & creating custom pattern, design & trend boards, as well as seasonal color palettes

I also worked on several specialty projects with Patagonia and the US Special Forces.
